IN-DEPTH PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE STUDY MODEL
COLLABORATION WITH HBC. HOCHSCHULE BIBERACH UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES
Courses: Civil engineering and construction project management/civil engineering, each with two practical semesters
How it works: alternating theroretical and practical phases (while practical semester and lecture-free time)
Time period: 8 semesters (4 years) full time
Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering
The start of the course with in-depth practical experience is only possible in the winter semester, in October.

Biberach University of Applied Sciences has existed since 1946 and is known in Germany as one of the most renowned universities in the fields of civil engineering and construction project management/civil engineering.
Since 2019, KUTTER has been a cooperation partner in the “In-depth Practice” study model of the two faculties mentioned above. In both courses, practical phases in the company (periods between lectures) and theoretical phases at the university alternate. In addition, two practical semesters take place in the company. Experienced site managers (m/f/d) take the students by the hand and let them carry out independent and responsible tasks as soon as possible.
A total of eleven students from the HBC are currently working at KUTTER and will continue to do so throughout the year. Of these, six students are working in the in-depth practice model in the civil engineering, road construction and structural engineering departments.

COLLABORATION WITH TECHNISCHE HOCHSCHULE AUGSBURG – UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES
Degree: Business Administration Trade/Global Commerce Management
How it works: alternating theroretical and practical phases (while practical semester and lecture-free time)
Time period: 7 semesters (3,5 years) full time
Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering
The start of the course with in-depth practical experience can take place shortly before the semester or up to the 3rd semester.

Since we are convinced of the "In-depth Practice" study model and our range of studies with the HBC was so well received, we have decided to also position ourselves regionally in Augsburg. Therefore, in 2022 we concluded a cooperation agreement in the civil engineering course with the TH Augsburg. This means that students from the Augsburg area now also have the opportunity to study at KUTTER without having to change regions. The course of study consists of an alternation between theory phases and lecture-free times, in which the students then switch to the practical phase at KUTTER. There is also a practical semester in the company.
At the faculty festival in summer 2022, as a sponsor, we were already able to absorb the great atmosphere on campus and look forward to meeting KUTTER graduates on campus in the future.

DUAL STUDY PROGRAMME
COLLABORATION WITH DHBW RAVENSBURG – BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, COMMERCE - GLOBAL SOURCING
Degree: Civil Engineering
Main modules: General Retail Management, Global Commerce Management
How it works: three-monthly cycle alternating between the theoretical part (DHBW Ravensburg) and the practical part (KUTTER Memmingen)
Time period: 6 semesters (3 years) full time
Qualifikation: Bachelor of Arts
In cooperation with the DHBW in Ravensburg, the KUTTER construction company offers a dual course of study in retail. This course with KUTTER is particularly suitable if you are interested in business processes, especially with a focus on purchasing/procurement.

Through our enthusiastic purchasing manager, who himself studied at a DHBW, we came up with the idea of a cooperation with the Ravensburg Cooperative State University.
Since 2022 we have been cooperating in the "Business Administration Trade/Global Commerce Management" course and we already have the first dual student, who started directly in the winter semester of 2022.
The DHBW model provides for a three-month change between university and company. Through a structured departmental schedule, the students are taught the theory from the university in practice in the preceding or subsequent process. Because of our internal structure, we are able to give the students a quick insight into the world of business processes in a construction company.

DUAL STUDY PROGRAMME – COOPERATIVE BACHELOR
COLLABORATION WITH HOCHSCHULE MÜNCHEN – UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES
Degree: Civil Engineering
How it works: Start with the industrial training in the first 14 months in the training company and in the construction industry center Stockdorf, then the study phase starts at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. The practical phases take place when there are no lectures and during the practical semester.
Time period: 9 semesters (4,5 years) full time
Qualifikation: Bachelor of Engineering with training as a road builder (m/f/d), concreter (m/f/d) or bricklayer (m/f/d)
Entry into the dual study program can take place annually in the winter semester.

Due to the positive experiences of our working students at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, we have been cooperating with the university since 2023. In addition to our offer of in-depth practical experience at the Biberach and Augsburg Universities, we now also offer a "classic" joint study program.
In this study model, the future civil engineers (m/f/d) decide in advance on the desired training qualification. In the first part of the joint course, the industrial training takes place on the construction site. The contents of the vocational school are taught in the Stockdorf industrial center. In the second year, the proportion of study phases increases significantly. The practical semester takes place in the 6th semester of the combined course. Here the students are already introduced to the work of a civil engineer (m/f/d) after graduation. After a total of three years, the professional qualification and the practical semester are completed. The following 1.5 years include the selected majors (structural engineering/civil engineering). All in all, you get two degrees within 4.5 years and, of course, you are well prepared for starting your career with a lot of practical and theoretical knowledge.
