We believe that in-house expertise in every area is crucial to our success. This includes well-trained staff and our own machinery, which we maintain and service ourselves. Flat hierarchies ensure short decision-making processes. This is what sets us and our work apart.

The KUTTER construction company was founded in 1926 by Christian Kutter in Memmingen and developed from a classic building construction company into the versatile KUTTER GmbH & Co. KG.

The first in road milling

In the late 1970s, KUTTER integrated its road construction and rehabilitation operations. What started as hot milling machines has now evolved into cold milling machines, which enable the removal of bound pavements. The recycled material is reused in our stationary mixing plants.

The course for the future is set

Even today, the medium-sized construction company remains 100% family-owned. KUTTER's main shareholders are the grandchildren of the company founder, Peter and Rudolf Groll, and – already from the next generation – their nephew, Ulrich Groll.

On May 1, 2023, after more than 50 years of responsible service in the family business, Rudolf and Peter Groll handed over the management of KUTTER entirely to the existing management team and joined the newly installed KUTTER Supervisory Board. Other Supervisory Board members are Ulrich Groll and the non-family members Martin Werner, Dr. Ragnar Baderschneider, and Andreas Müller.

The operational management of KUTTER is carried out by five external managing directors, with Ulrich Dick overseeing the building construction, turnkey construction, project development, and ready-mixed concrete production areas. Jürgen and Rainer Rogg are responsible for road and civil engineering, asphalt construction, and bitumen mixing plant production. The milling division is managed by Mr. Mark Heutig. Mr. Andreas Haas is responsible for commercial and administrative matters.

In addition to its headquarters in Memmingen, KUTTER maintains branches in Adelsdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Gera, Chemnitz, Luckau, Markranstädt near Leipzig, and Munich. The KUTTER Group also includes numerous subsidiaries located throughout Germany. The KUTTER Group operates as a construction company throughout southern Germany in the areas of building construction, road construction, and civil engineering. The milling sector extends throughout the entire German region.
